nice to meet you matt, and congrats on your work with matthias, this is a real milestone for me, finally someone who is active in the fediverse on real code that works who is willing to work with me.
there's a lot of talk and hype out there, but let's get on with it. you can't make interop out of talk.
simplifying this whole thing down to the point where i can use a mature node.js package to hook into AP is what i'm aiming at.

All of the server side stuff is pure PHP + WordPress but it would definitely be possible to make a node package that talks to the WP REST API

This reply caught in my moderation queue, so I found out about it first from your blog today! Very, very cool.
We are also working on allowing posts with a Title, using the “Article” type, now that Mastodon apparently supports it. https://github.com/Automattic/wordpress-activitypub/pull/917
