this blog is for testing fediverse integration from WordPress.com, but soon I can actually just use it!

Agent Wiebe

My last WordCamp presentation was in 2013, so let’s just say I feel a little odd to be putting myself on the web again. I’m having fun building software with AI Agents, for my pizza business I’m starting in Puerto Vallarta, and I thought I’d do some recordings while I was at it.

Maybe watching me bumble along will be helpful, educational, or ego-boosting to other folks who seem smooth and polished in comparison. Look at that thumbnail. Nobody is afraid of me.

Today’s question:

What is the state of play for a “normal person” to try to build themselves a WordPress website with Claude Code? I pretend to be at my wife’s level of knowledge as I try to build out the site for her new interior design practice.

I need to build a website for my wife’s design business. I try to use Claude Code and WP MCP as though I was her, trying not to make any use of my WordPress knowledge.

I’m a grizzled WP veteran who’s been away from it for a year. I’m diving back in as agentic engineering has really taken off.

Takeaway: Claude Code was awesome for asset (images) migration from one site to another. Doing that in only an hour would have been a miracle before LLM Agents. I would have scoped three days for it in the Before Times.™
